Music (can be)cute too

I always feel a bit weird when I look at billboard charts. Who is Mr Flo Rida and what is T-Pain?
I'm a bit exaggerating, because for this week I know a few titles OK.

But still. I look around , follow links and buy what I like on itunes, because I'm too busy-lazy to go to the music shop. I have my very own taste, good or bad I don't know, and end up very surprised when an artist I like for months or even years  becomes trendy enough that I'll spot her here and there.

I like to listen to cute , soft music when I work. I'm very fond of Keren Ann and I was sure happy to attend one of her show here in SF.  I discovered  her via Henry Salvador. She made a very cute song for him, I looked for the name of the composer et voila.

Browsing different French blogs I fell in love with Yael Naim music this summer. The clip is really endearing. Looks like I'm not the only one to like her because  one of her songs is now the Apple Mac Book Air advertising song.

But these days I'm completely in love with Cat Power beautiful music. Is it trendy? I don't mind.  I can't wait to be on the 22 to listen to her new album.

I remember reading on Paul Weller's band's drum something like " Fire and skills" (listen to Mr Weller music if you need more than the usual guitar band to spruce up your day)
It's exactly how I like music, the technique being sooo good the artist is able to forget about it and fly, fly...

La photo c'est ce que mon fils voit quand il joue. Je me dis souvent que la premiere fois qu'il rentrera chez quelqu'un de normal avec des murs blancs et un canape beige, ca va lui faire bizarre.

I don't really look at my blog's statistics. Most of the time it makes me shy to see how many people come.
Yesterday I took my bi-yearly look because, hey, there's a lot of comments these days. And I was astonished by the number of people coming back each and every day. I take it as a proof you like my little place on the web, I'm really touched, thank you so moiche!

Je ne regarde pas vraiment les stats du Non dairy. En general ca m'intimide plutot de voir le nombre de gens qui viennent. Donc hier vu le nombre de coms (merci pour les coms!)ces derniers temps je suis allee jeter un oeil. Et j'ai ete tres agreablement surprise du nombre de gens qui reviennent presque tous les jours ici. Je prends ca comme un compliment, ca veut dire que vous aimez bien mes petites pages, ca me touche beaucoup, merci merci!

Je sais que vous aimez bien mes lapins, mais celui-la est a mon fils, laissez le ici, ne le copiez pas merci!

I wonder if...

...my photos look like me too? Even if I change style in my pictures and illustrations, people usually recognize my style. Two of my very good friends found one of my cards in a big bunch of Hallmark cards at Costco. My friends are amazing !

Is it possible to guess if a photo was taken by me or not?
Anyway : here's the sunset on Twin Peaks.

En general ceux qui me connaissent reconnaissent du premier coup d'oeil mes images, meme si je change volontiers de style...deux de mes amies ont  repere une de mes cartes au milieu du gros paquet dans une tres grande surface. J'en suis restee comme deux rond de flan. Mais bon, j'ai des supers copines quand meme.  J'hesite a vous montrer la carte en question, parceque chez Hallmark ils ont rajoute des plumes dans le hu des mes petits oiseaux, c'est euh tres frais.

Bref, je me demande si pour les photos aussi vous me reconnaitriez?

Mon petit ourson

This illo about my cute chubby lovely and tall baby. He's wearing 2T size at 9 month old, his pants are too long because 2T is done for the proportions  of a child, not for a diaper wearing kewpie.

I'm kinda fed up with people looking at my baby and saying : "oh he's so BIG"( if not HUGE). Well, thanks people, this baby is beginning to talk and perfectly understands when you make such statement. He's strong, but I'm 5'8" and his father is a rugby player. He will never be thick slim. It's OK by me. I'm fed up oh so fed up with the "be sick slim" dictatorship.

If I have anything to say about 2008 it will be that I don't want to hear the word "diet". Never. For a whole year. What a relief!

A chaque fois que je rencontre quelqu'un j'entends "Oh le GROS bebe". Ben du calme les gens hein, il est bilingue ce bebe, et comprend tres bien ce qu'on lui raconte, et ca ne lui fait pas plaisir. J'y vais tout de suite du " Tu es parfaitement de la bonne taille pour moi", histoire de calmer le jeu, et j'en ai  un peu marre, la encore une fois, de la dictature du poids. Il y a des gens qui ne seront jamais minces. Il y a des gars carres et muscles, des filles girondes, et moi ca me va tres tres bien.

Donc si j'ai un truc a dire pour 2008 c'est que je ne veux pas entendre le mot "regime". Jamais. Pour toute une annee. Voila!

Et vous. Il y a-t-il un mot dont vous avez marre ?

String? Grenouille? Chocolat?

Ha non pas chocolat. Cerise? Aspirateur?

Je sais bien que mes patterns vous invitent plus a me piller qu'a commenter, mais bon vu que c'est le debut d'annee, que j'attends la floraison des cerisiers avec impatience et que ces petits patterns seraient parfait pour emballer des bonbons...ben voila.
