Surprise! I saw a lot of these pairs of cube blocks calendars recently, and they made me wonder. It's a nice logical problem. To make a whole month, I need to be able to form numbers from 10 to 31 with two cubes, 12 faces. First I need numbers from 0 to 2 twice, to be able to do numbers like 31 or 10. It take 3 faces out of 6 on each cube. I will also need numbers from 3 to 9 to do all the other numbers. Which means it will take 7 faces more...
How is it possible then to do a perpetual calendar with only 2 cubes?
The solution is very simple. Did you guess?
I made my cubes with patterns and colors made to complement my little houses from my book "Mon village" but there is no obligation here...
